Who We’re Looking For:


Makersite is seeking a passionate and driven Junior Marketing Associate to join our dynamic marketing team. This is hybrid position, based in Bristol or within easy travelling distance to Bristol. As a Junior Marketing Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our marketing managers in executing strategic marketing initiatives across multiple channels. This role will involve a wide range of operational activities, including content creation, social media management, event coordination and web development to name a few.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Collaborate with marketing managers to develop high-quality blog posts, articles, and other written content that aligns with our brand voice and resonates with our target audience.
  2. Assist in the creation and execution of social media campaigns across various platforms to increase brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
  3. Support marketing managers in planning and coordinating events, including webinars, trade shows, and conferences, to promote our product and engage with potential new logos.
  4. Contribute to graphic design projects, including the creation of visual assets for digital and print materials, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
  5. Assist in the development and maintenance of website content, optimizing user experience and SEO performance.
  6. Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in the sustainability sector, researching to identify new opportunities for marketing initiatives.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and customer success, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and branding efforts.
  8. Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, demonstrating a proactive approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  9. Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail, effectively managing conflicting priorities and deadlines.

Job requirements

What you will need:


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in marketing or related roles, preferably within the technology or SaaS industry.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create compelling and engaging content.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and platforms
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design principles and proficiency in Adobe Suite, Canva or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies, such as HTML, CSS and WordPress.
  • Passion for sustainability and how technology can contribute to a positive change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a rapidly evolving and fast-paced environment.
  • Eye for good design and attention to detail.
